Mommy Runs...

I run a half marathon 3 weeks from today. I know that I can finish it. What I don’t know is how long it will take to finish it. I’m hoping that it doesn’t take more than 2 1/2 hours. 

The next few weeks are going to be crazy making. Miss Tay turns 2 on the 15th. My half is on the 25th, 10 days later. 2 weeks after that we’re going to go see the Mouse. We’ll get home from that and then we get to meet 2 of my heroes, Adam Savage (woot!) and Jaime Hyneman (sp?). By then school will be almost over and it’ll be time to consider what’s up for the summer. I need to get some summer camp time for Aeden since he can’t handle long periods of unstructured time and some swim time for Tay, since she only gets to do splash pad otherwise. And then, before we know it, it’ll be time for fall again. 

Yup, these years go by way to fast.

After the half, my next challenge is to find a few 5Ks to work on my time and see if I can go any faster.

I need to find a nutritionist. I fix one problem and create another. I can’t win here.

8K in a couple hours. In other news, I really need some more pants. Preferrably, ones that fit.

The races I want to run eventually:

1. Disney’s Princess Half Marathon. Cause really is there anything better than running to prove you’re a princess?

2. Boston. When, who knows. But sooner or later I will run this race. Of course, I need to actually run a marathon first. It’ll happen.

3. Rock n Roll half. Preferably somewhere scenic like California so I can get a vacation out of it too.

4. Kaua’i Half Marathon. C’mon, Hawaii? Who wouldn’t?

At 5’2”, I weigh 140 lbs. I’ve been running since May 22. Currently, I run 3-5 miles as short easy runs and I’m pushing to 7 for a long run. But today I am really tired.
